- Let faucets drip slightly (a pencil-width stream is enough)
- Keep cabinet doors open under sinks to allow warm air circulation
- Maintain your thermostat at a consistent temperature, even overnight
- Cover outdoor water softeners with insulated blankets or tarps if you have them
