UPDATE: Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Laurel Greens

Your water is safe to drink. No need to boil.

Consolidated Utilities is happy to share good news with the Laurel Greens community: the precautionary boil water advisory issued for Tuesday, June 30, 2026 has been lifted. You can return to using your tap water normally.

What changed

When we issued the advisory, it was a precaution tied to the planned water shutoff for the Quacco Road widening project. A boil advisory becomes necessary when water lines lose pressure, because a drop in pressure can create a pathway for contaminants to enter the system.

That didn’t happen here. Our crews completed the work alongside the project team without the lines ever losing pressure. Because positive pressure was maintained throughout, there was no opportunity for contaminants to enter the system — which means the precaution that prompted the advisory was never actually triggered.

What this means for you

The advisory is rescinded effective immediately. Laurel Greens customers can:

• Drink, cook, and make ice with tap water as usual.
• Brush teeth, wash fruits and vegetables, and prepare food with tap water.
• Give pets tap water again.

There is no need to continue boiling, and no need to discard water you’ve already boiled.
