Precautionary Boil Water Advisory: Laurel Greens – Tuesday, June 30, 2026

Consolidated Utilities is notifying customers in the Laurel Greens community that water service will be temporarily interrupted on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

What’s happening

The water shutoff is necessary to accommodate the Quacco Road widening project. Work in this area requires our crews to take the affected water lines out of service for the day. We’re coordinating with the project team to keep the interruption as brief as possible.

Why we’re issuing a boil advisory

This is a precautionary advisement — a heads-up to boil your water as a safety measure. No contaminants have been found. Anytime water service is interrupted and the lines lose pressure, there’s a possibility for contaminants to enter the system. Out of an abundance of caution, we’re asking Laurel Greens customers to boil their water until testing confirms it’s safe to drink.

What to do once service is restored

Until the advisory is lifted, please take these simple precautions:

  • Bring water to a rolling boil for one (1) minute, then let it cool before using.
  • Use boiled (or bottled) water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing fruits and vegetables, and preparing food.
  • Give pets boiled or bottled water as well.
  • Handwashing with soap and warm tap water is fine.

When will the advisory be lifted?

After service is restored, we’ll collect microbiological water samples and submit them for testing. Once those samples come back clear, the boil advisory will be lifted — and we’ll post an update right here so you know as soon as your water is confirmed safe. Sample results generally take a day or two.
